Vernon L. Anders, 59, of San Antonio, formerly of Palacios, died in a San Antonio hospital Tuesday at 1:15 a.m. following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 16, 1915 at Olivia, son of the late Virgil C. and Irene Anders. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday from Colonial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jay Wright and Dr. David Slover officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be H. P. Harvey, John Hanselka, Lloyd Williams, J. B. Horton, Joe New and Jack Pace.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Virginia Wright of Grand Prairie; and three brothers, Jack M. of Lolitia, Weldon of Victoria, and Melvin of Palacios.
