Funeral services for Oscar F. Anderson were held on Monday, March 7, at the Christina Lake church at 2:30 o'clock p.m., with Rev. L. M. Udden officiating. The honorary bearers were Ernest Palmquist, Axel Person, Otto Gilbertson, Sander Fjellstrom, Thorvald Nelson and John Lindquist. The active bearers were Clarence Lang, Rudolph Anderson, Victor Anderson, Wm. Anderson, Burton Anderson and Joe Anderson. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Mr. Anderson passed away Saturday, March 5, at St. Luke's Hospital in Alexandria.
Oscar F. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Anderson, was born on May 6, 1880, in Lund township. He attained the age of 74 years, 9 months and 29 days at the time of his death. He has always made his home in Lund township. On Jan. 30, 1904 he was married to Mathilda Lindberg. They celebrated their golden wedding a little over a year ago.
He was active in civic affairs, serving on the school board. He was a member of the Christine Lake Lutheran church for years. She is survived by his wife and one son, Harvey Anderson, of Lund township and two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Alstad (Blanche) of Fergus Falls, and Mrs. Harold Angel (Pearl) of St. Paul, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Albert Lang of Simpson, Sask., Canada, and two brothers, Alfred Anderson of Simpson, Sask., Canada, and G. W. Anderson, of Evansville. One daughter, Olga, preceded him in death.
