She was born February 22, 1910 in Eagle Lake Township of rural Battle Lake to Frans and Alma (Morrau) Anderson. She then moved with her family to South Dakota and returned to the Evansville area later. She graduated from Evansville High School and attended Moorhead Teachers College. She married Harvey Anderson June 12, 1935 and while they farmed she taught rural school. She was a member of the Christina Lake Lutheran Church and was the Sunday School Superintendent for close to 50 years. She also sold Avon for over 35 years and was known as the "Avon Lady". She enjoyed her flower gardens when she was on the farm and also enjoyed playing the organ and piano.
She is survived by her sister, Lucille Anderson of Evansville; a special grand-niece Peggy Anderson and her son Ryenn of Sauk Rapids; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey in 1977; her brother John Maurice Anderson and two infant brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., June 24 at Christina Lake Lutheran Church, rural Evansville. Officiating Clergy will be Rev. Carl Ulrich. Burial will be at Christina Lake Lutheran Cemetery. The funeral home in charge of arrangements is Glende-Nilson Funeral Home of Evansville.
