Eliva Rollinson Ballance, 88, of Hatteras, died Saturday, June 4, 1994, at her residence. She was a native of Frisco and a homemaker. Mrs. Ballance was a member of the Hatteras United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Christopher Evans Rollinson and Mrs. Eliza Ann Rollinson and the widow of Ellsworth Burrus Ballance. Mrs. Ballance is survived by two daughters: Grace B. Peele of Hatteras and Mary Louise Gray of Buxton; one son: E.B. Ballance of Richmond, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A chapel service will be conducted Monday, June 6, 1994, in the Twiford Island Chapel, Hatteras, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. James Huskins. Burial will follow in the Rollinson Family Cemetery, Frisco. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and will be at the home of her daughter, Grace Peele of Hatteras, at other times
