LILLY — WALTERS – Samuel J., 82, Lilly, formerly of New Jersey and Arizona, died June 17, 2010, in Altoona Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1927, in Washington Township, son of James Richard and Clara Elizabeth (Miller) Walters. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Michael, Walter, William and Richard Walters; and sister, Nellie Walters. Survived by sister, Alice Low, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. Army veteran of World War II. After retiring as an assistant medical examiner for Millvill Hospital in New Jersey, he moved to Arizona and recently to Dutchtown. At Sam's request there will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend the military graveside funeral rite at 11 a.m. Thursday at Richland Cemetery. Mark A. Serenko Funeral Home, Portage, is serving the Walter's family.
