Helen Bernice Bunch

Helen Bernice Bunch, age 92 of Shelbina, MO passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina, MO. She was born October 10, 1920, in Edina, MO, the daughter of Lewis A. and Jessie Maud Coffey Stutsman. She was united in marriage to Orville Owen Gilmer at Edina, MO on March 3, 1941 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1960. To this union three children were born. On March 14, 1964, she was united in marriage to Frank Bunch at Edina, MO and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1996. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, one son James Gilmer and one sister Catherine Waggener. Mrs. Bunch is survived by one son, John Gilmer of Boca Raton, FL, one daughter Kathy Kaser and husband Jerry, of Bethel, MO, one sister Viola Parish of Edina, MO, five grandchildren, Shawn Kaser and wife Tonya, Jill Levenhagen and husband Aaron, Jenny Huthman and husband Billy, Joey Kaser and wife Alissa and James Kaser and wife Tina, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen graduated from Edina High School in 1938. She was employed for several years as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and as librarian at the Edina Library. She was an avid golfer and loved to help teach anyone who wanted to learn how to golf, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Jerry Kaser will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery. Music will be provided by Jill Levenhagen and Jenny Huthman, vocalist and Carol Hayes, pianist. Casket bearers will be Shawn Kaser, Joey Kaser, James Kaser, Ernie Maddex, Michael Brands and Zackary Harrison. Honorary bearers will be Aaron Levenhagen, Billy Huthman and Chris Harrison. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Memorials may be made to the Linville Cemetery or Alzheimer's Association and may be left at or sent to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO, 63537.
