Information from "Tifton's Valentine to Veterans" Sponsored by The Stafford Foundation and Compiled by Marianna G. Keesee with help from others, printed in 2005 by Lang Printing Co., Tifton, GA. Copy in Tifton Public Library, and used by permission from his personal interview: "Harold Cohen served with the 10th Armored Infantry Battalion as a Lieutenant Colonel, which was part of the 4th Armored Division of Patton's Third Army. He landed at the beaches of Normandy, France approximately 30 days after D-Day. From there they moved through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, German and Czechoslovakia. His most memorable experience was swearing at Creighton Abrams over the radio telling him if he did not get his tank battalion to their location sooner, they would all be dead before he arrived. He thought he would be court martialed for talking to an officer such, but they became lifelong friends."
