The 1870 and 1880 US Censuses show Israel and Fannie living in Shelby Co., KY with Israel working on a farm. The censuses for 1900 and 1910 show Israel and his family living in Louisville, Ky. In the 1920 census Israel, now a widower, is living as a boarder still in Louisville.
Israel and Fannie had two known children. They were Robert Edward Beard (1872-1929) and Mary E. Beard (1880-1958). Robert was married to Ida Loving (1869-1919). Mary was married to Wayman Sherrill (1871-1926). The death certificates for both children and their spouses record that they were buried in the Louisville Cemetery.
Isreal died at age 83. At the time of his death he was living at 441 S. 21st Street in Louisville with his daughter Mary.
