He was a 1978 graduate of Middletown High School. He worked several years at Richvale Farms, then worked at May's Hardware in Frederick, and, at the time of his death, was employed with Ingalls Lumber and Supply, Middletown. He was an active member of Locust Valley Bible Church, Middletown.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are two children, Erick and Emily; two brothers, Mark Ahalt and Michael Ahalt, Middletown; two sisters, Marshal Bowers, Walkersville; and Melinda Ahlt, St. Louis, Mo.
Services were held at Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown; interment in Locust Valley Bible Church Cemtery, Middletown; arrangements were by the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown.
