OBITUARY-
Edith A. Neus, 88, of Adams, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Adams Health Care Center.

She was born Dec. 31, 1914, in Marshall Township, to Bennie and Amanda (Anderson) Huseby. She graduated from the Adams High School and began working at the Adams Post Office.

On July 21, 1934, she married Bernie A. Neus in Mankato. They lived in Adams and Edith worked as a bookkeeper for Osmundson Brothers Construction for 33 years.

She was a member of the Little Cedar Lutheran Church, where she was active in ladies aid and church circles.

Her hobbies included coin and stamp collecting, bowling, reading and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include daughter, Ardith Klouse, Mason City, Iowa; son and daughter-in-law, Arvid and Nancy Neus, Adams; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Byron and Helen Huseby, Adams; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Arden; and a brother, Aaron Huseby.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the funeral home and Sunday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Little Cedar Lutheran Church with the Rev. Shari A. Mason officiating. Casket bearers will be Curtis Klouse, Craig Klouse, Cheryl Powell, Corey Klouse, Chad Klouse, Michael Neus, Michelle Palma and Marty Neus.

Interment: Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery, Adams.

Funeral Home: Adams Funeral Home, Adams. Memorials: To the Little Cedar Lutheran Church.

Edith and Bernie's wedding announcement: A very quiet wedding took place at Mankato, Saturday, July 21st when Edith Huseby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Huseby, became the bride of Bernie Neus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Neus. Rev. Beck performed the ceremony.

The bride wore a yellow ensemble dress and white shoes. The brides maid, Helen Sorflaten wore a pink georgette dress and white shoes. The groom and the best man, Ed Anderson of Mankato, both wore dark blue suits.

Mr. Neus is employed at the Hormel plant at Austin and Mrs. Neus, is employed as assistant postmaster in Adams.
