Reginald Oliver was born on May 28, 1966 in Chicago, IL to the parents of Charles Oliver and Lucille Oliver.

As a boy he loved baseball and street hockey, playing both sports with his older brother Steve always on the same team.

Reggie graduated from Paul Dunbar High School in Chicago and joined the US Army in 1985. Reggie was stationed in Germany, Iraq during Desert Storm, and ended his career in Tacoma, Washington with an Honorable Discharge with the rank of E4.

Shortly after he met his future wife Laurie he started the next chapter of his life as a husband and father making Yakima, WA his home. Reggie and Laurie were married and he started his career with the City of Yakima as a bus driver, later being promoted to the Transit Dispatcher. Reggie stayed close to his sports roots by becoming an umpire and football referee for the local high schools and colleges in the area. Reggie did all this and still took great care of his family. Reggie's personality was infectious, everyone he met he consider him a friend.

Reggie was a huge Chicago Bears fan and let everyone who was not a fan know it especially living in the Seattle Seahawks area.

As a family man, Reggie and Laurie responded to the call of parenthood and raised twenty children, including six of their own. Reggie always had his arms open for his children. Reggie made sure that each of his children knew he loved them.
