Robert D. Wilbanks of Lutts, TN was born June 6, 1937 in Martin's Mill, TN, a son of the late Charlie and Willie Frankie Rich Wilbanks. He was united in marriage to Reba Nell Stricklin on March 3, 1957.

Mr. Wilbanks worked with the Stylon Corporation in Florence, AL for 17 years then owned and operated Wilbanks Auto Service until retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Lutts Methodist Church in Lutts, Tennessee.

Mr. Wilbanks departed this life on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home at the age of 76 Years, 2 Months, 16 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Nell Stricklin Wilbanks of Lutts, TN; two sons, Keith Wilbanks and wife, Cindy of Lutts, TN, Chris Wilbanks and wife, Gwen of Collinwood, TN; a daughter, Tammie Holt and husband, Steve of Iron City, TN; Grandchildren, Deanna Bromley and husband, Shawn, Jake and Shelby Wilbanks, and Jordan and Addison Holt; Great-grandchildren, Wesson and Owen Bromley; a brother, Joe Ray Wilbanks of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Sue Whitley and Kay Gray both of Savannah, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilbanks was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cassie Wilbanks; a brother, Charles Wilbanks.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Chad Balentine, Jake Wilbanks, Murray Parker, and Tommy Flood officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2013 from 6 pm - 9 pm and Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stan Gray, Stacy Gray, Mark Wilbanks, Ray Wilbanks, Steve Florence, and Terry Joe Beckham. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron White, Jimmy Robbins, Billy Ray Franks, David Franks, Brownie Franks, and Aaron Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Lutts Methodist Church.
