Nettie M. Thompson – 95, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Bunk and Vina Mays and was preceded in death by her sons Richard Eugene Thompson and Walter S. Thompson. Nettie was a charter member of Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church. "While she will be deeply missed, her suffering has ended and eternity is promised." Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Sue Cook and Jack Cook, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Bradley Humble and Brandon Lamont Humble; and great-grandchildren, Devin Gage Humble and Gabrielle Analise Humble. Nettie M. Thompson – 95, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Bunk and Vina Mays and was preceded in death by her sons Richard Eugene Thompson and Walter S. Thompson.
Nettie was a charter member of Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church. "While she will be deeply missed, her suffering has ended and eternity is promised."
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Sue Cook and Jack Cook, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Bradley Humble and Brandon Lamont Humble; and great-grandchildren, Devin Gage Humble and Gabrielle Analise Humble.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the funeral with Rev. Grady Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West in Lookout Valley.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Linda G. Williams, Glenda S. Sparks and Shirley Ann Jones for their support and loving care.
