Early Life: Ted was born August 19, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Isaac Reed Carlson and Dorothy Maynard Carlson. He grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where he also attended school.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On December 22, 1953, Ted married Jennie Lucille Watters in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ted worked for Niels Fugal & Sons as a machine operator for many years. He had an electrical repair business in both Vernal and American Fork. He was involved in horse racing and showing in Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada and won many awards for his efforts. Ted Maynard Carlson, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He was 79.
Survived By: His wife, Jennie, of Pleasant Grove; four children: Danny Ted Carlson, Neldon Reed Carlson, David Alan Carlson and Vickie Murdock; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Carolyn Eskelson, Kathleen Draper and Sandra Benson.
Preceded in Death By: His parents and son, Terry Lynn Carlson.
