Katherine Lorene Miles, 87, of Evansville passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Good Samaritan Home. She was born May 12, 1928 in Grayville, IL to the late Everert and Dorothy (Alvey) Jarboe.
Katherine was a very active member at St. Benedict Cathedral and participated in many activities at the church. She loved her weekly aerobic classes, music, playing bridge and walking. Katherine was very involved with her children and grandchildren and loved their time together.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; infant twins, Lisa and Kevin; daughter, Elanie; sons, Stanley and Christopher; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joseph F. Miles; daughter, Angelon Dant (David) of Cincinnati, OH; sons, Alexander D. Miles (Sheri) of Scottsdale, AZ and Andrew S. Miles (Sally) of Evansville; brother, Gerald Jarboe (Betty) of Evansville; sister, Annetta Gamblin (Wayne) of Madisonville, KY; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday May 28, 2015 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 7:00 pm.
Funeral service will begin at 9:30 am Friday May 29,2015 at the funeral home and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with Fr. Godfrey Mullin officiating.
Private burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Saturday.
