It was with sadness we received the announcement of the death of our friend and neighbor, Mr. Julius M. Hall. He was born Dec. 15, 1850 and died at his home near Rainswood April 15, 1931, having spent his entire life in this community. and with one accord all say "He was a good man." He was on of the most optimistic men with which we ever conversed. He never pined for a return of the "good old days' but cheerfully looked forward to better times that had ever been on the increase during his 80 year existence. He was happy to have lived in such a wonderful period of progress. Mr. Hall loved the soil. He was a farmer by choice as well as by nature. Seven of his eleven children survive him. They are Alfred, J. Hall, Chester PA, Mrs. Ewell (Madora) Dunaway, Mrs. Ivis (Picolia)Webb, of Tibitha , Mrs. Robert (Mary Alice) Bryant, Mrs. Howard Lewis, Mrs. Lena Bowles, Miss Cora Lee Hall, of Rainswood. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister. His mortal remains were laid to rest by tender and loving hands beside those of his daily companion for more than fifty years, who preceded him in death just six months ago. Interment in the family burying ground at the old homestead.

Father: Griffen Hall
Mother: Ailsey Dodson
