son Company, Treasurer of
Union-Sun, Passes
________

LOCKPORT, N. Y., Aug. 24. -
George A. Castle, 59 years old, presi-
dent of Corson Manufacturing
company and treasurer of the Union-
Sun and Journal company, Lockport
newspaper publishers, died early today
at his home, 101 Genesee street, from
heart disease, following an illness of
only three days.
Born in Lockport October 26, 1876,
Mr. Castle left school early to enter
the employ of the company of which
later he was to be president, as an
apprentice in the press room of this
concern, one of Western New York's
largest and best known printing firms.
He became president in 1930.
His father was James Castle, a
native of Fenwick, Ont., and his
mother, Mary Ann Gibson, a lifelong
resident of Lockport.
He was a member of Grace Episco-
pal church, Red Jacket Lodge No. 646,
F. and A. M., Lockport Lodge of Elks,
a trustee of the Y. M. C. A. and a
member of the Lockport Board of
Commerce and the United States
Chamber of Commerce.
In 1902 he was married to Nina
Greenman, of this city. His wife died
March 22 of this year. Two sons and
one daughter survive. Jesse G. and
F. Corson Castle and Mrs. Lawrence
V. V. Moss, all of this city. He also
leaves a brother, and three sisters.
The funeral arrangements have not
been completed.

CASTLE.
Entered into rest, George A., hus-
band of the late Nina J. Castle at
his residence, 101 Genesee street on
Monday, Aug. 24, 1936. He leaves
one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence V. V.
Moss, two sons, Jesse G. and F. Cor-
son Castle, one grandson, three
sisters and one brother.
Services will be conducted at 11
o'clock Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the
residence, Dr. Henry F. Zwicker of
Grace Episcopal church officiating.
Burial will be in Cold Springs ceme-
tery.
