Mr. Glen "Bud" Edward Gray

Mr. Glen "Bud" Edward Gray , age 89, of Lexington, Indiana, Bud entered this life on April 12, 1925 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late, Russell William and Helen Mae Hall Gray. He was a 1942 graduate of Hanover High School in Hanover, Indiana. On March 14, 1945 he was inducted into the United States Army in Indianapolis, Indiana. He rose to the rate of sergeant serving in the 50th military police battalion during World War II. He was honorably discharged on December 4, 1946 from Camp Beale, California receiving the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the Philippine Independence Medal. On April 24, 1948 Bud was united in marriage to E. Neoma Mahoney in Otisco, Indiana. This happy union of sixty seven years was blessed with one daughter, Marcia and one son, Michael. Bud was employed for 35 years with the Indiana Kentucky Electric Corporation in Madison retiring from as a stores attendant. Bud was a member of the Mt. Byrd Christian Church in Milton, Kentucky. He enjoyed gardening and watching basketball. Bud was a devoted husband, loving dad and grandpa. Glen died on Monday, April 6, 2015, at 1:31 p.m. at the Hanover Health and Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana.

Bud will be missed by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, E. Neoma Mahoney Gray of Lexington, Indiana; his loving daughter, Marcia Bock and her husband, Dennis of Hanover, Indiana; his loving son, Michael Gray and his wife, Lisa of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Amanda Holder (Aaron), Christopher Marsh (Regina), Joel Gray (Cara), Amy Fulton (Todd), Brooke Wettschurack (Kevin), Casey McGlone (Mark), Tracia Fitzpatrick and Melissa Bock; his great grandchildren; his great great grandson; his brothers, Carroll Gray and Jean of Lexington, Indiana, Murel L. Gray and his wife, Betty of Lexington, Indiana, Stanley Gray and his companion, Anna Daugherty of Lexington, Indiana; his sister, Doris Duncan of Lexington, Indiana; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws, Patsy Gray of Madison, Indiana, Bonnie Fowler Miller of Madison, Indiana, Leroy and Shirley Liter of Milton, Kentucky, David and Barbara Liter of Milton, Kentucky, Gary and Pam Liter of Milton, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Russell William and Helen Mae Hall Gray; his sisters, Inez Pruett and her husband, Lloyd and LaDonna Barker and her husband, Lonnie; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard S. Duncan, Chester Fowler and Eva and Louis Garlinghouse.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 12, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., by Bro. Aaron Snelling at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery near Hanover, Indiana

Friends may call Saturday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

A final salute will be conducted on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, with full military honors to follow at the graveside at Liberty Cemetery by the U.S. Army Fort Knox Ceremonial Unit and Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Cemetery Association or the Mt. Byrd Christian Church. Cards are available at the funeral home.
