Other survivors include two daughters, Kerri Ann Ellingsworth and Stephanie Nicole Ellingsworth, both of Terre Haute; four brothers, Thomas Ellingsworth, Jr. and his wife Sue, James Ellingsworth, Jeff Ellingsworth and Christopher Ellingsworth, all of Terre Haute; three sisters, Brenda Kilgo of Corinth, MS, Joyce Vines and her husband Dennis of Terre Haute, and Jeannie Bonfer of Ft. Pierce, FL; two grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Pair and Tyler Wayne Thibodeaux; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dianna L. Slater; and a brother-in-law, Gene Bonfer.
David went to St. Leonard Catholic School and was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School. He also attended Indiana State University. Later he coached softball in the Wabash Valley Girls Softball League. He was an avid sports fan and cheered on the Colts, Notre Dame and Indiana University. He was in the Air Force. David was devoted to his family, friends, and his family's dog Blue. He will be missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in St. Joseph University Parish with Friar John Bamman officiating. Inurnment of his ashes will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites conducted by V.F.W. # 972. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
