Virgil David James, 82, born June 25, 1931 to Virgle Carl James and Mae Viola Massey in Krum, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 in Denton.

Mr. James proudly served his country, as a Sargent in the US ARMY, during the Korean War. He was a very family oriented man, who enjoyed being with his, grandchildren and great-grandson.

Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; John, Paul and Luke James, two sisters; Naomi Hillierd and Clota Gray and granddaughter, Skye D'Anne Eaton.

Virgil is survived by his daughter, Darla Eaton; 4 grand children, 1 great-grandson; brothers; Nathan James, Joseph Ray James, Ruben James and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Denton Funeral Home, Denton, Texas.

Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be Thursday, August 22, 2013, 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Texas.
