Tanya Ann was born March 16, 1969 in Shell Lake, WI, the daughter of John Nolan and Carmen Taylor. She grew up and graduated from high school in Chicago. She graduated from the University of Illinois Champagne-Urbana, where she was a member of the Delta-Zeta Sorority. She resided in Chicago until moving to Florida, where she lived and worked for the past six months.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Ritt and Sara Taylor; her mother Carmen (Charlie Peterson) Taylor, Chicago; her father John Nolan, Chicago; her brother Matthew Taylor, Chicago; her aunt Janet Beck, Spooner; and her uncle Steven Taylor, Hayward.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28 St. at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Fr. Gregory Hopefl was the celebrant. Music was provided by Sister Felissa Zander, organist, Louis Taylor Jr. and Sarah Taylor, soloists, and the St. Francis Ladies Choir. Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation began after 5 p.m. on Monday at the LCO Tribal Government Center in the Peter Larson Room, with a scripture service at 7 p.m.

Casket bearers were Robert Bogat, Terry "Buzz" Boswell, Pete Corbine, Jim Dennis, Roger Diamond Jr., and Mike LaPointe.

The Anderson-Nathan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
