Nina Owens, 74 of Paris, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Owens was born on March 27, 1939 in Cairo, Missouri to Marvin L. and Mildred L. Davidson Hughes. She married James W. Owens on December 4, 1960 in Mexico, MO and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1998. She is survived by two daughters; Patricia (Jay) Harris of Huntsville, MO and Lori Owens of Clark, MO; 3 grandchildren; James M. Harris, Ashley Harris and Eric Siebuhr; two great-granddaughters, Meredith Siebuhr and Bailey Newcomb; a sister, Mary Nichols of Higbee, MO and a brother, Clifford Hughes of Moberly, MO. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Deloris Faye Summers, Shirley Sue Nichols and Phyllis Ann Hughes.

Nina was employed by several area businesses, including Paris Garment Manufacturing for 4 years, Florsheim Shoe Factory for l year, We Do It All Upholstery for over 15 years, Food Barn for 3 years and Dollar General for 2 years.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Agnew Funeral Home with Reverend Donna Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison, MO.

Memorials may be made to The Humane Society or American Diabetes Association.
