Mrs. Sherry Irene Brannen Jordan, 60, a longtime resident of Winston, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Halcyon Hospice in Atlanta following an extended illness. She was born May 5, 1954, the daughter of the late Richard Thomas Brannen and the late Imogene Chaela Brannen. She was a member of Utopia Baptist Church in Winston. She loved her church family. She was a longtime administrative assistant at SuperValue.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jordan, Jr.; and sisters, Edna Kay Carr, Rebecca Ann Harrington, and Emma Faye Brannen.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Jordan, III of Sandy Springs; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward and Pat Brannen of South Carolina and Millard Brannen; mother-in-law, Grace Jordan Mallow of West Virginia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dustan and Susan Jordan of West Virginia and Patty and Rev. Wendell Burdette of Newnan; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Monday, September 15, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, September 15, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Wendell Burdette officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
