Mack G. Sharping
Funeral services for Mack G. Sharping, age 69, of Sibley, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26 at Minden's Rose-Neath Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Windham, assisted by Rev. Denny Duron. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery near Minden.
Mr. Sharping died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Schumpert Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
He had lived in Sibley for the past ten years. He was a former resident of Shreveport and a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Ruth Sharping of Sibley; one son, Mack V. Sharping, Sr., of Sibley; two daughters, Helen Gibson and husband William of Plano, Texas, Catherine Robinson and husband Freddie Robinson, Jr., of Edmond, Okla. (formerly of Minden); and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Chatelain, Keith Chatelain, Billy Ponder, Leslie Ostrander, Robert James, and Thomas James.
A burial fund has been set up at Minden Bank & Trust Co., account number 2316293, P. O. Box 400, Minden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. Friday.
