Cleophea "Chloe" Knobel April 15, 1859 - Dec. 5, 1924

Monticello.—Mrs. Fred Knobel, aged 65, passed away at 3. o'clock Friday morning in her
home here following an illness from which she had suffered all summer. She had receivedtreatment at the Methodist hospital, Madison, and was removed from that institution to her home 3 weeks ago,

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Monticello, and interment in Highland
cemetery.

Chloe Babler, daughter of Albrecht and Barbara Babler, was born April 15, 1859 on a farm near New Glarus, and was raised in this vicinity. She was married 46 years ago to Fred Knobel and had lived in and near Monticello all her life with the exception of three years spent in Lu Verne, Ia.

Besides the widower, she leaves to mourn her one daughter, Anna, Janesville, and a son, Albert, residing at Monticello. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. David Hefty, New Glarus, and two brothers, John Babler, Colvin Park Ill, and Albert Babler Monroe.
