THOMPSON, Abbie Elizabeth - 82, Elmsdale, passed away peacefully with family at her side on September 9, 2006, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Upper Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late William and Lydia (Henry) Fredericks. She was always a hard worker, even by her late husband's side at the general store in Elmsdale. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her family, daughters, Dianne, Elmsdale; Linda (Rod) Aubertin, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.; grandchildren, Michael (Melinda) DeRosenroll, Ottawa; Sara (Paul) Arabsky, Medicine Hat, Alta. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl F. Thompson; brothers, Harry, John, Harley, Howard; sisters, Ruby and Jessie. She was the last surviving member of the Fredericks family. Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Sandy Hill Cemetery, Belnan, Rev. Susan MacAlpine-Gillis officiating. Memorial donations may be made to The Arthritis Society or Colchester Regional Hospital - Building Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Co-operative, Upper Musquodoboit.
