Carrie Lula Bell, 83, of Blackstone and formerly of Altavista died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blackstone.
She was born January 26, 1930 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late Sam Bell and Ada Callahan Bell. She was a member of Penuel Baptist Church, an avid doll collector and enjoyed meeting and greeting all her fellow residents and friends at Heritage Hall.
She is survived by her sister, Jane Bell Myers of Blackstone and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Irvin Bell.
