Uncle Oscar was a very tall, thin man. He told me he use to work at the local radio station. I am not sure exactly what he announced. But, one day he received a box of chicken bones and ever since that time he was called "Bones."
His eye sight was bad and his drivers license were taken away. So he bought a riding lawn mower and it was nothing to see him riding around town.
I remember when I was small, Uncle Oscar, would be hired by the Save Way grocery store on Andrews Ave. Henderson NC, to walk around and be Santa. Now, Remember he was a tall and slender man. To think about him as Santa is loving humorous.
