Albert August Witter, the
child of William Witter and
Emilie Pieper, was born at
Newell, Iowa, on April 15
1900. As an infant he was
received into the Kingdom of
God through the Sacrament
of Holy Baptism. He was received
into communicant membership
of St Peter's Lutheran
Congregation of Newell
through the rite of confirmation
on April 5, 1914.

On October 5, 1921, he was united in
holy wedlock to Mildred Papik
at Newell, Iowa. This union
was blessed with three children
a son Joe, and two daughters,
Eileen and Jolene. Albert
Witter was a fine Christian
man. He was a devoted
husband and father. He was
a faithful member of his
church wherever he lived.
While a member of St Peter's
Lutheran Church he served
as an officer on several occasions
and also served as
chairman of the building committee
of the present church
structure of St Peter's. For
the past nine years he resided
at Kankakee, Illinois, being
employed by the Illinois
Central R.R. Prior to that
he lived at Carbondale, Ill.,
and Council Bluffs and Newell,
Iowa.

He was preceded
in death by his parents two
brothers, Frank and Richard
Witter, and one sister, Mrs
Rose Archer. Albert Witter
died very suddenly on New
Year's Day, 1959, when it
pleased the Lord to call him
to his eternal home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred
Witter, one son, Joe
Witter of Marion, Ill., two
daughters, Mrs A. W. Biesendorfer
of Fremont, Nebraska
and Mrs. James McFarland of
Kankakee, two brothers, William
Witter of Marcus, Iowa
and Ted Witter of Sioux Rapids;
two sisters, Mrs. Walter
Nelson of Newell and Mrs
Lester Gibbons of Omaha; by
eight grandchildren, and by
many relatives and friends.
He attained the age of 58
years, 8 months, and 26 days.
