Former Resident William Stubbs dies in California
William Kelly Stubbs, a long time resident of Gunnison prior to moving to California 20 years ago, died October 26th in Napa, California, of natural causes. Funeral services were held October 3oth in the Napa Second Ward L.D.S. Chapel with burial in the tulocay, Napa Cemetery,
Mr Stubbs was born October 1, 1897 in Provo, the son of James E. and Martha L. Kelly Stubbs, He came with his parents to Gunnsion when a young boy and resided here until moving to California.
On 21 April 1931, he married Jessie Thygerson in Manti. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Survivors include his mother, Napa, three brothers, Peter K. Stubbs, Salt Lake, Glen K. Stubbs, Ephraim, and Roy K. Stubbs Napa: three children, Mrs Robert E. (Barbara) Peel, Layton, James D. Stubbs Santa Rosa, California, and Mrs. J. W. (Shirley) Burston, Napa and seven grandchildren.
