Dennis was born on April 16, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to Kenneth and Helen Roper nee Mashburn.
He was in the United States Air Force, worked for the CIA and a member of the Beecher Amvets Post #67. He loved computers and photography.
Surviving Dennis are his beloved wife Shirley (Lu) nee Lawbaugh, his mother Helen, a son Dennis Jr. of Beecher, a daughter Natosha (John) Bomgardner of Baltimore, Maryland, three grandchildren: Leah, Mallory, and Ava; a brother Wayne (Beth) Allen of Loretta, Tennessee; two sisters: Charlotte (Ron) Girman of Hammond, Indiana and Anita Allen of Nashville, Tennessee. Also surviving Dennis are a mother-in-law Norma Fick of Beecher, 3 sisters-in-law: Sher (Bob) Adams of Beecher, Sandy Lawbaugh of Beecher, Linda (Scott) Hoffmeyer of Crete, and a brother-in-law Scott (Cindy) Lawbaugh of Monee.
His Father Kenneth preceded him.
Funeral will be on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke United Church Of Christ in Beecher with the Rev. Tom Ewing officiating. Burial will be at Sanders Cemetery in Lowell, Indiana.
