Born in Kemp's Mill, he was the son of Francis Marion and Mary Catherine Palmer Rickard. He was a member of Broadfording Church of the Brethren.
He was a retired employee of W. D. Byron and Sons of Williamsport.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Cook, Baltimore; Mrs. Grace E. Pate and Mrs. Jeanetta Mae Silvers, both of Frederick; Mrs. Ruth R. Taylor, Hagerstown; son, Marion F. Rickard Jr., Williamsport; sister, Alice Shank, Hagerstown; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services Monday at 2 pm at Leaf Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Clark Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.
