Norman was the son of Carl E. & Augusta Erickson, they were farmers in Madison Co, NE. He was married previous to Eva Oss, he and his first wife had a daughter Judy. Norman's first wife died before 1940.

Funeral services for Norman Erickson were held Tuesday at the West Side United Methodist Church. He died the preceding Sunday at the Oakland Memorial Hospital at the age of 67 years.
Rev. Bernard Noordhoek officiated at the services. Mrs. Ervin Smith was organist. Active pallbearers were Dean Brudigam, Vergil Carlson, William Enstrom, Myron Jacobson, Ben Larsen and Kenneth Robertson.
Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Anderson, Robert Broderson, Forrest Hansen, Averill Jacobson, Stanley C. Johnson, Earl Jones, Francis Larson and Milton Uman.
Interment was in the West Side Methodist Cemetery. Palmquist Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Norman Arlie Erickson was born Jan 4, 1906 at Holdrege. He married Eva Oss of Newman Grove Dec. 21, 1940.
He retired from farming less than a year ago after having lived in the Oakland community for nearly 28 years. He previously lived at Newman Grove. He was a member of the Oakland Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a sister and his first wife.
Survivors include his wife, Eva; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Fred; grandchildren: Scott and Shari; brothers, Walter of Newman Grove and Milford of Madelia, Minn; sister, Mrs. Helen Rogot of Newman Grove; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
