DOHERTY David Neil, Sr., passed away at his home in New Milford on August 16, at the age of 82. Dave was a decorated Marine Corps. Staff Sargent during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer, practical joker, but most importantly he was strongly guided by his spirituality and faith. As a result Dave was a source of strength and comfort to many. He was predeceased by his siblings, John and Marie Doherty. Dave is survived by his loving wife Dolores of 23 years. Devoted father of Bernadette Doherty and her husband Thomas Orth, Marie Doherty and her partner Sharon Deal, David Doherty and his wife Tracy. Cherished and proud grandfather of Ruby, Jack, Evan, Liam and Torin. His funeral will be on held Tuesday, August 20, at 9:30 AM, from the William G. Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, thence to Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Haworth for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment following, Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. Visiting on Monday 4-8 PM. He will be dearly missed by all.
