He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Sharp Jenkins and Dorcas Sharp Nettles and his brother, Martin Harvey Sharp.
Mr. Sharp was a District Representative for Quaker Oats and Continental Grain. He gave 22 years of his life serving the St. Tammany Parish School Board, 10 of those years as its President. He was also a dedicated member of Shepherd's Care Ministries.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services from Shepherd's Care Ministries, 20115 Highway 1081 Covington, LA 70433 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. A wake is scheduled to take place at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 6-9:00 PM with visiting hours beginning at the church Tuesday at 9:00 AM.
Interment at the former Shepherd's Fold Church Cemetery (Now Freedom House) will immediately follow services.
