These 3 Lancaster brothers are also mentioned in "Publications of the Catholic Record Society, Vol. IX, Miscellanea VII, page 181 in chapter called Historical Notes about St. Mary's Liverpool: on December 2, 1707, Father Gillibrand left Crosby Hall & went to lodge in Liverpool with Mr. Lancaster, who followed the business of a grocer & Mass was said in one of the rooms of the house. Mr. Lancaster [grocer] was a cadet of the ancient Catholic Family of Lancaster of Rainhill Hall [Prescot], [Lancashire, England] & his brother William was a doctor practicing in Ormskirk [England], whilst another brother was captain of a trading vessel.
