Matilda HATFIELD, whose maiden name was LAMB, was the daughter of John W. and Patsey LAMB. She was married to Jeremiah HATFIELD, Nov. 1, 1866; fifty-one years ago last November. Seven children were born to this union, namely: Ella, who died in infancy, J. L. (Logan), of Owensburg; Laura RUSH, of Bloomfield; Nora DUGGER, also of Bloomfield; Marion and Ott, the two boys still at home, and Nannie WORKMAN, of Lawrenceville, Ill. Besides these she leaves the husband of her youth, now growing feeble under the weight of seventy five years, and twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was united with the Christian church at Old Bethel, in Jackson township in girlhood days, and died in the faith of the Lord she then confessed. After funeral services at the home in Bloomfield, conducted by T. A. COX, on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 26, she was laid to rest in Bloomfield's beautiful cemetery, "Till Jesus comes." The relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral of Mrs. HATFIELD Tuesday were Mrs. And Mrs. Jasper HATFIELD and family, Mr. and Mrs. Helmer HOLMES and son, and Denzil SHEPHERD, of Washington township; Mrs. Martha JACKSON, Logan HATFIELD, and two daughters, Mrs. HUDSON, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley HATFIELD, Claude McDONALD, Miss Epsey LAMB of OWENSBURG; Thos McDOWELL, of Springville; Mrs. Lulu McBRIDE, Bedford; Mrs. Bert WYMER, Jasonville.—We desire to extend to our neighbors and friends our sincere and heartfelt thanks for the many acts of kindness and for the constancy with which they assisted us during the last illness and after the death of our beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Matilda HATFIELD.Jeremiah HATFIELD and children
