Bob served in the United States Navy and in May 2012 he was able to go on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.
Bob was united in marriage with Marion Delker on August 4, 1948. He was a farmer for many years and he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion on July 18, 2007; children Dennis and Douglas Breen, Colleen Pittman, Kathy and Mary Ann Breen, and twin infant daughters; granddaughter Darci Breen; and siblings Paul, Orville, Mark, and Dave Breen, Corrine Richard, Maxine Saulnier, Ava Bray, and an infant sister Orvella.
Survivors include his children Dallas Breen and his wife Anita of Delphos, Rob Breen of Minneapolis, Pam Keller of Salina, Karen Ballou and her husband Phil of Minneapolis, Nadine Bretton and her husband Jerry of Minneapolis, and Lisa Newell and her husband Tim of Salina; sisters Mary Lou Hoolihan and Annie Bredengerd; sixteen grandchildren Amy Jensen and her husband Mark, Jeremy, Jeff, and Josh Pittman, Staci Robinett and her husband Kellis, Garrett Breen, Casey and Brandon Keller, Marc Gawith and his wife Ashley, Matthew Gawith and his wife Stacey, John Gawith and his wife Elisa, Kyle and Dylan Bretton, and Kaetlyn, Morgan, and Alyson Newell; and four great-grandchildren Carson Robinett, Lydia and Kathleen Gawith, and Kristi Pittman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Meredith Township. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis where a prayer service and rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Honor Flight or the St. Peter's Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home.
