Ann MacDaniel applied for War of 1812 bounty land and for a War of 1812 Widow's pension, all of which were granted. Her Widow's Pension application states that her maiden name was Queen and that she married Martin Norris MacDaniel on 19 Jun 1808 at "Gardners Meadows", Prince George's County, MD.

Ann spent most of her life in Washington, DC, apart from the years she lived with her husband in Loudoun County after their marriage. He died in Loudoun in 1826 at the age of 43.

The year of death on her gravestone is incorrect: she died on 25 March 1877. Her death notice was published in the National Republican on 27 March 1877.

MacDANIEL--On Sunday, the 25th instant, at 11 o clock p.m., at her residence, Queensborough, in the county of Washington, ANN MacDANIEL, in the ninety-seventh year of her age.
The funeral will take place from St. Aloysius church on Wednesday, the 28th, at 9:30 o'clock a.m. The friends and relatives of the family are respectfully invited to attend.
