Marvin C. Farmer "Marv", age 76 died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at the Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Nashville, TN to the late Russell and Lela Barnett Farmer, Marvin was a toolmaker and machinist for 26 years for Himont, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the New Life Alliance. He is survived by his wife, Geralene A. Farmer; and 3 sons, Marvin A. Farmer and his wife, Margie, of Allentown, PA, Ronald W. Farmer of Wilmington and Bruce A. Farmer and his wife, Anna, of Montchanin. Survivors also include 2 brothers, Robert C. Farmer of Newark, DE, James O. Farmer of Wilmington; 1 sister, Nena Neal of Nashville, TN; and 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mr. Farmer will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 15, 2004, in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Kirkwood Hwy. & Duncan Rd., Wilmington, where family and friends may call from 6-8 pm on Friday evening, May 14, 2004. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
