Timothy E. Robbins, age 61, of Asheboro died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Center Cross Baptist Church, 1789 Center Cross Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Ron Copple and Rev. Justus McKeel officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mr. Robbins was born in Asheboro on September 23, 1951 to Walon and Margaret Hughes Robbins. He was a 1970 graduate of Asheboro High School and was the owner/operator of Robbins Masonry. He was a member of Center Cross Baptist Church. One of Tim's loves was working with his hands and he took a lot of pride in his work. Tim was a very devoted husband and father and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sally Hussey Robbins; daughter, Neelie Asbill and her husband Jonas of Asheboro; grandchildren, Dallyn and Corbin Asbill; brothers, Walon Robbins, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Asheboro, Lynn Robbins and his wife Wanda of Asheboro, Chris Robbins and his wife Bonny of Denton; sister, Vivian Coleman and her husband Billy of Hickory; and many loving nieces, nephews, and godsons.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
