He had worked since with his father, on the family ranch.
Twenty-five year old, Tom Sackman, died Friday morning, April 29, 1983, of injuries when a horse he was riding overturned on him. The accident apparently happened when a cow that was being herded veered suddenly into the horse’s path, and the horse tripped over it and fell. Young Sackman was working cattle at the time with his father and brother-in-law, at a site several miles south and east of their home.
He is survived by his parents, and sisters, Cathy (Dan) Martin and Aileen (Bill) Kickert.
