Sharon K. Gillis was born July 17, 1945 to LeeRoy and Kathryn Cruce in Okemah, Oklahoma. She departed this life Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the age of 68 years, 1 month, and 1 day.
She graduated from Depew High School in 1963. On September 12, 1969 Curtis Gillis and Sharon K. Cruce were united in marriage. From this union was born one son, Chad. They enjoyed 43 years together before Curtis passed away February 27, 2013. Her hobbies consisted of quilting, gardening, painting, bowling, detail painting of model train sets, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Chad Gillis and wife Tiffany of Bristow; One brother, Carl Lee Cruce of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Two grandchildren, Curtis and Makayla Gillis. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Carrol Hurley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wayne Gemmill officiating. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
