Funeral services for Mrs. Marie T. Strickland, age 90, of Manchester will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February, 22, 2012 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eugene Green officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Strickland passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Manchester Healthcare.

Mrs. Strickland was born in Manchester, TN, the daughter of the late Loyd D. and Jennie Mae Walsh Taylor. She was an active member at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and loved doing work for the church. She enjoyed quilting, displaying some of her beautiful handiwork at Foothills Crafts.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Strickland was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Strickland. She is survived by one son, Terry (Elaine) Strickland of Manchester; one grandchild, Tracy Strickland; three step-grandchildren, Tabitha Seffens, Roger Harper, and Butch Harper; and seven great grandchildren, Trey, Tyler, Cassie, Autumn, Ashley, Ali, and Mandy.
