Age 75 of Cherry Hill, NJ died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in Virtua West Jersey Hospital Marlton. He was the beloved husband of Lois E. (Stock) Hill and loving father of David M. Hill of Brooklyn, NY, Gary W. Hill of Clarendon Hills, IL, and Andrew T. Hill of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by his grandsons Adam D. Hill and Colin J. Hill, both of Clarendon Hills, IL, and his brothers J. Edgar Hill of Brewster, MA and Harold B. Hill of Mechanicsburg, PA. Merle was a 1948 graduate of Moorestown High School. Before his retirement in 1997, he owned and operated a welding service and excavating equipment repair business in Maple Shade, NJ for nearly 40 years. Merle was an avid sailor on both the Delaware River and Chesapeake Bay.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service Friday March 25, 2005, 10am at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 327 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Visitation at the Church from 9 to 10am. Inurnment at Colestown Cemetery
