Larry Edward Koch

Larry Edward Koch, 68, of Cameron Park, Calif., passed away Tuesday, Dec, 14, 2010. He was born Aug. 20, 1942, in Lehighton, Pa., to Junior Ralph Koch and Mary Louise Andreas. Larry grew up in the Lehighton area and graduated from Lehighton High School in Pennsylvania. Shortly after he graduated he enlisted in the Army, where he served two tours in Vietnam and received many military decorations. While in the military, Larry met Dolores Koch who became his life partner. Larry continued his military career and retired from it after more than 24 years of service. Larry and his family moved to Cameron Park, Calif., back in 1985. Larry continued his education in college, and later received his associates degree in business management.
Shortly after moving to Cameron Park, Larry started employment with Aerojet General where he worked for 10 years. Larry also kept employment at Fortune 800, and Blue Shield of California.
One of Larry's greatest joys was his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Dolores Koch of Cameron Park, Calif.; his sister, Robin Koch of Slatington, Pa.; his brother, David Koch of Lehighton, Pa.; his daughters, Pattie, Terry, Jennifer, Valerie and Carrie; his sons, Mike, Keith, and James; 19 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Larry will be remembered by most for his quick wit, and great sense of humor. Larry was loved by all, and will be greatly missed.
There will be a memorial service for Larry held at Pierce Brothers Mortuary in Westlake Village, Calif., on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at 10 a.m. Memorial services to be held Cameron Park will be advertised at a later time.
