Born August 5, 1915, deceased September 30, 2012 at the age of 97. He was a resident of Whittier for over 50 years. He w as son of Earl L. Stevenson and Jesse Mae Norton, predeceased by his wife Thelma L. Buzzard Stevenson of 65 years and his younger son Ronald L. Stevenson. He believed on Jesus Christ at the age of 11 years old. He worked for Douglas Aircraft Co. Then in 1945. He worked for Ford Motor Co and became Plant Engineering Manager in 1962. He retired in 1978 after 32 years at Ford Motor Co. He designed and held numerous patents. He was ahead of his time in designing in-line shoe skates. Mr.
Stevenson was survived by one son Max Stevenson, two daughters-in-law Dottie and Sharon Stevenson, one out of four brothers Leland Stevenson of Peachtree City, GA, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at White Emerson Mortuary on Sunday, October 7th from 1:00-4:00 and memorial services will be held at Whittier Hills Baptist Church on Monday, October 8th at 2:00 P.M.
