Lawrence Henry HESS Of Weirton, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013, in his residence. He was the husband of Samee Miller Hess. Born on August 22, 1951 in Steubenville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Mary Hess Bellamy and was raised by Elmer and Tootsie O'Neil. Larry served his country in the US Air Force and retired from the US Navy as a decorated chief warrant officer in May of 1995. His military career spanned from March 1971 to May 1995. He later worked for the US Postal Service as an electronic technician until his retirement in 2010. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Erych Hess (Kim) of Virginia Beach VA; a daughter, Chelsea Hess of Weirton; a brother, Michael E. Knight of Toronto, OH; two sisters, Linda Bellamy of Toronto, OH and Alice Bellamy of Steubenville, OH; and ten nieces and nephews. Public Graveside Services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017.
