GATE CITY, Va. — Deborah "Debbie" Sharon Peters, 60, of Gate City, Va. passed away on Saturday (Aug. 17, 2013) at her home.

Born in Sandusky Ohio on June 13, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Berryman and Zella Eldridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Harmond Peters

Mrs. Peters, was employed by A&L Construction as an Industrial Cleaner. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Berryman; brother, Dennis Berryman; nephew, Charles Case and greatniece Amber Nicole Peters.

She is survived by her sons Derek Swain, Morristown, Tenn., Nate Swain Sevierville, TN,; grandson, Caiden Swain, Morristown; best friend and love of her life Bob Kindle, Gate City; three sisters, Gerri Peters and husband Curtis, Gate City, Valerie Green, Weber City, Joyce Ball and husband Kenneth, Johnson City Tenn.; two brothers, Gary Berryman Johnson City, Larry Berryman and wife Leslie, Bristol Tenn.; sisters-in-law Mary "Swain" Garcia, North Dakota and Elizabeth Goodman Church Hill, Tenn.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, Va. and anytime at the residence of her family members.

Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ray Bledsoe officiating.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. DeSilvia, Dr. Arnette and Dr. Cohen; also her Hospice nurses Kristinia and Nina; her personal caretaker, Tiffiany Watts. The family wishes to also thank her friends and caretakers, Jeff Kindle, Janie Bellamy and Dana Roberts, who she was ever so grateful for being there for her.
