Statesville - Mrs. Susan Jane Marsh, Age 76, widow of Willard Marsh of Miller Farm Road, Statesville, formerly of Wilkes County, died, Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. Mrs. Marsh was born February 27, 1929 in Wilkes County to Thomas Sherman and Mattie Jane Spicer Bauguess. She was a member of Hinshaw Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Clinton Wyatt of Emmett, Michigan, Tom DeVoursney of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Billy DeVoursney of Statesville; one daughter, Susan Renee Higgins of Statesville; one brother, James Clinton Bauguess of Traphill; five sisters, Nancy Shepherd of North Wilkesboro, Irene Johnson of Wilkesboro, Ruby Fulp of Winston Salem, Nell Deacon of Ferguson, Rosemary Hoffay of High Point and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 o'clock Tuesday, December 13 at Miller Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bud Shepherd and the Rev. Gene Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
